The EMS Professional

Andrea is the owner and author of The EMS Professional LLC an education, training and consulting company. With over 20 years of experience as an educator, administrator and EMS professional she offers a wide spectrum of experience, knowledge and expertise related to education, training and EMS operations. Andrea started her career as a college level biology instructor at Eastern Michigan University while working as a paramedic in a busy urban and suburban EMS system in 2005. She then moved on to various EMS leadership positions including field training officer, educator, operations supervisor, quality assurance and compliance manager, EMS director, project manager and innovation coordinator. Andrea has leadership experience in urban, suburban, rural, and frontier EMS systems.

She’s earned her master’s degree, holds a current national registry paramedic license, a Michigan instructor coordinator certification and community paramedicine certification.

Andrea’s professional experiences have allowed her to understand the need for EMS leadership and wellness training and education. Andrea has designed courses to help EMS professionals at a variety of stages in their career to create space for health, wellness and sound leadership. All courses are curated to the audience and offer lesson plans and outlines for EMS continuing education.
