The 5 Traits of High Frequency People, Why the Grumpy Matter

The more time we immerse ourselves in an environment the more that environment influences us.

Ever hear the saying that people start to look like their dogs?

It’s important to put ourselves in environments we intend on creating for ourselves if we want to grow. Taking risks and making changes by creating an environment that gets you closer to what you are seeking is paramount. You want to be in an environment that perpetuates your growth.

A big part of thriving in your environment is who you surround yourself with. Ever heard the saying the sum of who you are is directly related to the five people you spend the most time with? If you’re surrounding yourself with low frequency complainers, grumpers, balloon deflaters, blamers and haters then you too could become just that. If we’re not intentional with creating our surroundings, we can wind up in a low-frequency environment that becomes our stagnant norm. Change and growth should feel uncomfortable and risky, yet engaging. If you’ve lost your excitement and rarely feel challenged, it may be time to move on. If the people you’re spending the most time with lower your energy and don’t inspire you it may be time to look closer at who you are and whether that environment brings out the best in you. We are energetic beings driven by emotions. Look at your environment and invest in raising the frequency of your surroundings. Be conscious of what brings you joy and who brings you down. Let go of low-frequency people and things. Here are 5 traits that high-frequency people have:

  1. They boost your energy. These folks are inspiring and energized. They light you up and hold great conversations.

  2. They strengthen your faith. These folks instill a sense of confidence and build you up. Your sense of self-belief increases just being around them.

  3. They up your game. These people bring their A game and inspire you to bring yours. They help you become a better version of yourself. They challenge you.

  4. They make you courageous. These people share ideas. They’re generous and filled with enthusiasm. You feel empowered when you’re around them.

  5. They celebrate who you are. These kinfolk are there by your side without motives. There’s no secret agenda. They genuinely care. You notice they are cheering you on through your ups and downs.

The two questions to ask yourself are:

  1. Am I a high frequency person?

  2. Do I have high frequency friends and colleagues in my circle?

If you answered no to either of these questions, it’s time to get uncomfortable and raise your frequency.
